Mark is a Vietnam-era veteran of the United States Army, enlisting in 1974 and serving in the infantry as a paratrooper with the famed 82nd Airborne Division and a member of the Marksmanship Training Unit of the 7th Infantry Division. He went on to serve as a staff operations non-commissioned officer with the elite 12th Special Forces Group (Airborne) in the Army Reserves, where he later qualified as an Army Ranger. During his military service, he earned the coveted Ranger Tab, and received numerous awards and decorations for performance and service. A California native, Mark studied at California State University –Sacramento and also pursued an Army Officer commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program with the University of California at Davis. Mark Steiner and his company support numerous military veteran causes and charities, as well as serving as an advocate for veteran related legislation at state and federal levels. He also is a member of the U.S. Army Ranger’s Association and the Special Forces Association. His professional affiliations include being an active member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC).
